Lufthansa launches fleet-wide Starlink internet rollout on Airbus A320neo

Lufthansa has activated SpaceX’s Starlink internet on an Airbus A320neo, marking the start of a massive connectivity upgrade for the European airline group. This initial Frankfurt-to-Rome flight kicks off a broader retrofit program targeting 850 aircraft across the company’s multiple carrier brands by 2029. Passengers will receive complimentary high-speed access over the low-Earth orbit network through a free loyalty account. For flight crews, the industry's rapid shift toward low-latency satellite networks promises significantly better access to real-time weather and operational data on the flight deck.
